    HORRIBLE CUTOMER SERVICE (PLEASE READ UNTIL THE END) I went to the Ardène store at St Laurent Shopping center with my daughter to buy shoes. We decided to get two pairs of the same shoes. Both were labelled $14.50. When the cashier proceeded with the transaction, it turned out that the price scanned was different than the price on the labels ($17.50 instead of $14.50). After about 5mn of wondering what to do, the cashier called over another employee, who gave me the customer service number, saying she could not do anything for me. I answered it should not be my responsibility to spend time and energy to call , since THEY had made the mistake. She answered me that if she was refunding me the $3 difference, she would ``loose her job``. While according to the Scanning Code of Practice, I was entitled to claim a $10 discount on each pair of shoes since they had priced it wrong, I was however only asking to pay for the price that was labelled on both pairs of shoes, which was only a 3$ difference. I still believe it was a very reasonable request. After about 15mn, the supervisor came, not reacting while the employee was speaking very disrespectfully to me. They still ``couldn't do anything for me``. Then at some point the employee told me that if I was not leaving the store, she was going to call the security. I could not believe what was happening. While I was definitely frustrated by the situation and being firm, at no point I showed any agressivity or demonstrated any disrespect that would have justified calling the security.Finally the supervisor spoke up and told the employee that they wouldn't do that but told me that I was being rude. After wasting about 30mn of my time and energy, and being treated very disrespectfully, I was so frustrated, I decided to get the entire amount I spent back on a spending coupon and go buy the shoes in another store, since no refund is allowed by this company, which I knew upfront, and therefore had no issue with it. This was the second issue I had with Ardène's customer service within a month. The only reason I went back to Ardène was because my daughter needed cheap shoes on a very short notice. I still regret it. The way I was treated was completely inacceptable. I will NEVER go into one of those stores again. I hope this review will make you think twice before purchasing anything at Ardène.

    This Ardene is terrible - not sure if that's true of the company as a whole or just this store. I bought an item and was paying with debit, and I think the issue was that the receipt didn't print out. The staff informed me that the transaction hadn't gone through...she thought...and that I had to try again. She said that if I got home and had found I was billed twice, I could come back in with my bank statement and get the money back. Got home and sure enough I had paid twice. I called the store and spoke to her and indicated I would come back the next day (I have to bus from Orleans). When I got there I was informed that they couldn't do anything without the appropriate manager/supervisor there. I was pretty miffed, but found out when should come back and returned a second time. This time they were saying they had to contact some corporate line or whatever to see what I should do. I waited in store at least a half an hour and was told that if I wanted a refund they would have to do a formal investigation, reviewing the transactions and the video cameras and everything and I could request this online! The double charge was only $5 but that wasn't the point - they wrongfully charged me and promised I could just come back with my bank statement to get the money and then gave me the run around and finally ended by presenting me with a bunch of hoops I would have to jump through to get MY money that they wrongfully charged back. Disgustingly poor service and absolutely unacceptable from a company the size of Ardene. I will never return to this chain of stores again.

    The phone system is not very helpful. Customers simply want someone to talk to at the store they are looking at going to. The current system you have in place is frustrating and does not provide the desired service- simplicity is key. Thank you.
