  Alyea's service is unbeatable. Their care towards each piece extends well beyond the sale of the item through cleaning and servicing. I will only look towards Alyea's for jewelry and custom creations for my family.

  I recently inherited several pieces of jewellery but they needed attention/repairs. My Mother's antique gold bracelet needed a new hinge and safety clasp. The leopard head bracelet needed a whole new (silver) bottom half and a safety clasp. The Eilat stone ring needed gold plating. The biggest challenge however, was installing a spring hinge on the double rams head bracelet. The bracelet band is composed of 2 hollow silver twisted "stands". Alyea's goldsmith was able to cut the bands open and insert the parts of a spring hinge up into the hollow spaces. The work took 16 hours! Now the bracelet can be opened comfortably when I put it on, and with a polishing, the bracelet is a real masterpiece. For any intricate repairs such as these, I highly recommend Alyea's Jewellers on the Sparks Street Mall in Ottawa. I am immensely satisfied with the resulting refurbished treasures. Ann Chudleigh

  Exceptional service and incomparable craftsmanship. Charles did an outstanding job creating a stunning custom ring for my sapphire. He also made sure to answer any questions I had, and easily met the timeline I had in mind. I would definitely visit here again for any reason. I cannot recommend Aylea enough!

  Alyea's was recommended to me for resizing my heirloom engagement ring. They did a fantastic job! I especially appreciated the care they took to explain to me the history of the stones and the setting, before doing the work and all of the options they gave me re: refinishing the work on this family heirloom. It was ready within 2 working days and beautifully cleaned and polished when ready for pick up. Thank you Alyea!

  I had a wonderful experience with Alyea's making a custom engagement ring. Charles guided me through the process and helped design a ring that worked out just right. At the start, he said that their primary goal is to provide an amazing service in order to help you get the piece that you imagined and that is exactly what was provided. After the first session I went to several other jewelers, but Alyea's stood out for a number of reasons. First, I was dealing with an experienced jeweler as opposed to a retails saleperson. That was extremely beneficial when it came to working out a design, as he helped take a rough idea and turn it into something specific. Second, I was provided a vast choice in stones in person, instead of just being told it would be a certain quality of a certain stone at a certain weight with no option to see it. Finally, the price was very reasonable and comparable or better to other quotes I received for similar designs. Overall it was a very pleasant experience, and if I had to do it again, it would definitely be with Alyea's again!
