  Great lodging. We have a suite and it's very comfortable. Staff is very attentive and willing to accommodate requests. Parking lot is rough so one star lost. Highly recommended and close to airport.

  Still one of the city's awesome hotels. Good for meetings, parties, conventions and conferences. Entire hotel needs updating, however. Newer, more modern "name-brand" hotels and suites have sprouted during the last two years.

  It might have been nice at one point-in-time, but I suggest you avoid. After 9 hours of driving (moving across country) I was 'greeted' (and I use the word lightly) by an indifferent employee who couldn't find my reservation. After suggesting that I might have canceled It, she then found it and realised that her colleague had canceled it in error (no apologies offered). My credit card was not working, as I had recently maxed it due to my cross-country move, and I was told that I absolutely needed a credit card to check-in. She informed me that it was management policy and she just works here, there's nothing that she can do. I offered a cash deposit and she delayed and delayed. She then said she could call her supervisor, but she really didn't want to. She eventually did and I was told that she is going to do me a favour this one time, but the next time would require a credit card. The hotel is beyond dated and not worth the $156 / night price tag. The room is clean enough, but definitely not up to my standards. In all, not to my standards.

  Broke down in Thunder Bay recently and our company booked us in this wonderful hotel. Nice lobby w/fireplace, fitness facility, pool and sauna (bring your swimsuit), the hot tub was closed for repairs but sure it will be up and running soon. They have a restaurant on site, mostly sandwiches like rueben, clubhouse etc as well as breakfast menu. Several restaurants in the vicinity if you prefer other culinary choices within walking distance. Very nice room, clean and comfortable: furniture was a little worn but the beds were exceptionally cozy, clean and inviting , nice decor with all you'll need to enjoy your stay. The staff was friendly, attentive and accommodating;; would recommend staying here to all who are passing through or staying for awhile. One can arrange to park and fly with their shuttle that takes you right to the airport while your vehicle stays safe right where you left it. Planning to stay in Thunder Bay.? STAY HERE

  It's an older hotel, but there's plenty of charm. The spa was the best part; the pool was huge and deep (8.5 feet!). There's a workout room with modern equipment, a hot tub, a sauna and a stream room. The rooms themselves were average size and quite clean. No rust on the bath or grime in the corners. We were able to adjust the heat and it was always quite comfortable. Lots of electrical plugs. Coffee machine, microwave and bar fridge. I enjoyed our stay here and will return.
